Grad Minds Workshop: Mindfulness Training for Emotional Resilience

Those who are finding it difficult to manage stress may require a more rapid approach to alleviate the overwhelming emotions as opposed to traditional meditation techniques. This is especially true for students who are bombarded with busy and demanding schedules. Students who seek out mental health support often do so at a time when anxiety and stress are at their peak. This workshop introduces a mindfulness training that was developed as a trauma informed program for people who are in urgent need of mental health support but cannot tolerate mindfulness programs that require long periods of sitting meditation.
