All full-time graduate students are entitled to a free International Student Identity Card (ISIC) which may be used to obtain discounts on travel, merchandise, and services throughout the world. The ISIC provides members with student discounts on Greyhound Bus, VIA Rail, Porter Air, and other travel. Check out http://isiccanada.ca for more info on ISIC and current discounts. With the closure of the UTGSU office from March 16 in-office issuing of International Student Identity Cards (ISICs) will be suspended during these dates. Drop-in times and appointments will resume when the office re-opens. Virtual cards can be obtained from the ISIC Canada website: http://www.isiccanada.ca/cfsfcee.
Drop-in Card Issuing
January 13 to April 24, 2020: Tuesdays 2:00-3:00 pm and Thursdays 1:00- 2:00 pm; no appointment necessary for drop-in issuing. Other times are available by email appointment only.
Drop-in cancellations will be posted on this webpage. We do not issue cards outside of drop-in times and appointments, and cannot accommodate walk-in requests for cards.
ID Reminder: Bring proof of full-time enrolment (i.e. show us ROSI/ACORN on your phone or print a copy of the first page, showing that you have paid the CFS fee). ISIC application forms are in the UTGSU office.
Cost: Free for all full-time graduate students at U of T who have paid the CFS fee. Part-time graduate students are not eligible. UTGSU cannot issue ISICs to undergraduate students or to students from other post-secondary institutions; please go to www.isiccanada.ca/cfsfcee to get your card online.
Photos: You do not need to bring a photo; we take one on the spot and print it on the card.
Validity: Cards are valid for one year from date of issue.
