Base Funding Campaign
The Base Funding Committee is focused on efforts to increase the base funding of all graduate students to a liveable level across all three UofT campuses with working groups on research, communications, outreach and strategy.
Goal
To endeavor to increase the base funding of all graduate students to a liveable level across all three UofT campuses through all possible channels.
Strategies
- Monitor funding policy across the University to ensure that students receive the funding they are promised.
- Research funding policy at comparable Universities to use in advocating for improved funding at the University of Toronto.
- Promote efforts to achieve a collective negotiation process for graduate student funding.
Current Projects
As a part of the campaign to respond to funding concerns, the Base Funding Committee (BFC) is seeking funding letters from across the university. These letters will allow the BFC to identify funding issues and advocate for better funding implementation. Please redact any personal information (e.g., name, student number, physical address, SIN) from your funding letter before uploading.
