Bikechain is an on-campus bicycle shop offering Do-It-Yourself (DIY) bicycle repairs, FREE bike rentals for students, workshops, pay-what-you-can bike repairs, group rides and more!
Bikechain is a Do-It-Yourself bike shop serving U of T and the public. We offer:
- Pay-what-you-can, Do-It-Yourself bike repair (supported by staff mechanics)
- Free bike rentals for students
- Women / Trans / Non-Binary only hours
- Workshops and events
- Group bike rides
- Mobility device repairs (ex. wheelchairs, rollators, etc)

Levy Fee Opt-out Dates
Graduate students can opt-out of Bikechain’s Fall 2025 levy ($0.79 for part-time students and $1.58 for full-time students from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to Wednesday. September 30, 2026 during the following hours:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays: 10AM-5PM
- Thursdays: 12PM-8PM
Levy refunds will be distributed by cash at Bikechain, 230 College St. (Student Commons building, entrance on Huron). Please bring proof of levy payment on your student account when you visit.
Students who experience barriers to visiting the shop can email info@bikechain.ca and we will be happy to make alternative arrangements with you.
