Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG)
OPIRG Toronto is an intersectional grassroots volunteer-based group at the University of Toronto, with a mandate for action, education, and research on environmental and social justice issues. OPIRG Toronto seeks to empower and educate students and community members by building connections and providing opportunities for students to connect with community activism and vice versa. They also provide a forum for learning and sharing skills, and give people the tools and opportunity to work co operatively for social and environmental change.

Levy Fee Opt-out Dates
OPIRG Fall 2025 semester Opt-out period is from September 8 – September 26. To opt out students must contact afcoordinator.opirgto@gmail.com and must provide a copy of their confirmed class schedule as proof of enrollment, their student number and full legal name.
