Committees

The UTGSU has a number of Committees that work on various issues that graduate students face. We encourage members to join one or more committees to get involved in life on campus! Committee descriptions can be found below.

The BFC is focused on efforts to increase the base funding of all graduate students to a liveable level across all three UofT campuses with working groups on research, communications, outreach and strategy.

The FSC is focused on addressing the growing challenge of food insecurity among UofT graduate students by providing immediate relief through direct services while working on long-term solutions through education, research, and advocacy.

The GAC is focused on addressing academic and university issues graduate students face at UofT, including issues related to academic policy, student-supervisory relations and issues of academic freedom.

The HC is focused on addressing housing insecurity among UofT graduate students through research, support services, advocacy, and sustainable development initiatives.

The MHC is focused on developing and implementing campaigns and programming strategies related to mental health and wellbeing at the University of Toronto. While the Grad Minds Committee will often focus on developing tools, the MHC focuses on advocacy, lobbying and resource provisions.
